
Dr. E. Gail Everett has been an educator of special needs children
for 31 years, including Miracle Hill Children’s Home,
Oolenoy Christian School, McAlister Group Homes, The Reading
Clinic, and now STRIDES. In addition, for 18 years she home
schooled her own children, one of whom who has disabilities.
In 1992, she received an M.Ed. in special education from Bob
Jones University. She then left as director of The Reading Clinic,
to obtain a Ph.D. in special education from the University of
Virginia. Upon returning, Dr. Everett began training special
education teachers at Bob Jones University. In 2005 she was
chosen by the Board of Directors to lead STRIDES as director.

Mrs. Carol Arney became acquainted with Potentials™ when her deaf son
rose from second to seventh grade level in reading. She then joined the staff
at Potentials to train under Dr. Frank Lang, the leading research developer
of this highly effective method. Mrs. Arney has been a tutor and supervisor
in very successful private clinics in five states. Using her background in
business from Woodbury University, Los Angeles, she has managed the offices
and finances of each of the educational programs she has been a part of for
24 years. She is currently the lead supervisor and office manager at STRIDES’ main
office near Cherrydale Point, Greenville, SC. She is also the treasurer for
the Board of Directors.
